
VirtualDJ 8 - User’s Guide
- Type the text you need to overlay inside the Text box.
- Choose the font and the color, along with border and shadow if needed from the right
sided options.
- Optionally apply one of the available Fx to rotate, zoom, float or even shake and strobe
your text as the track will play.
- Use the mouse to create (select) the area (red), where you need your text to apply. Move
and resize the area using your mouse.
- Once the area is defined, click on the button and the text will be displayed on
the Video preview window.
- Use the mouse to resize and move the Text inside the video preview window
- Create an additional text overlay area (red) with your mouse if you wish more text areas,
and repeat the procedure above.
- Use the button to delete the selected text overlay.
- Finally click on the button to save your work.
- A vdjedit file will be created in the same folder as your original track.
Notes.
- Video and text overlays can be combined to a single vdjedit file
- Multiple vdjedit files can be created based on the same original file
- vdjedit files can be edited using the video Editor as many times as required
- vdjedit files are automatically added to the Search DB
Sampler Editor provides information and tools to edit each of the Sample files. Access the
Sampler Editor, using the right-click menu of a sample (or CTRL+click in Grid View). On the
top the name and the path of the sample will be displayed along with its detected BPM value
and a knob to adjust its Gain.
